As a child, Justin would accompany his mom, Karen (known professionally as Karen Day), to band rehearsals. An accomplished singer and performer, Karen’s career instilled a love of music in her son that would carry on through his lifetime. As a very young child, before he was even two years old, he asked for musical instruments as gifts.
During his teen years, Justin started writing original music which started out as punk rock and evolved into hip-hop/rap music. He was not only a composer, but a performer and producer for other artists. In 2015, Justin created the Beat Academy of Kansas City. He had a passion for working with kids and helping them express themselves through music as he had learned to do.
